Giddy Up

Emmy loves to ride her horse. She's getting really good at it.

Getting So Big!!

This is her "Funny Bunny" face...

The Great Pumpkin Patch

Yesterday my brother and his family came down to the cities. It was Tyler's 15th birthday yesterday so they brought him and five of his friends to Valley Fair. They dropped the boys off at 2:00 and then headed to our house. We were just finishing up yard work when they arrived.
We brought Emmy to a pumpkin patch down the road from our house. We had so many pumpkins to choose from. I wanted to pick a small one for her but we couldn't find any small ones. Here's a picture below of Scott in search of finding the perfect one. We ended up picking two middle size pumpkins.
Uncle Scott brought Emmy over to see all of the animals. They had cows, goats, and baby kitties.
After the great pumpkin patch, we headed to Eden Prairie where Scott and Rachel were staying. We went to the mall and found a few items and even found a cute little table where Emmy could play with some crayons, etc. After the mall, we headed to Jake's for some dinner.
After dinner we went to their hotel until it was time for them to pick up the boys at ValleyScare. We wiped Emmy out because it's almost 11:30 today and she's still sleeping. I better go wake her up!!!

Walkin' After Midnight

"I go out walkin' after midnight, out in the moonlight just like we used to do..." Last weekend I treated my mom to the Chanhassen Dinner Theater for her early birthday present. I got tickets for us to see "Always...Patsy Cline." We ate dinner first and then we went in to see the show. It was a wonderful program and the actors did a great job. The singing was just like Patsy Cline. My mom was toe tapping in the audience the whole time. I grew up listening to this type of music with my mom. We used to listen to it and dance in the kitchen. Happy Birthday Mom!!!

Yummy Chocolate

Emmy will grab chocolate and find a way to get into it. She LOVES anything chocolate...just like her momma. I think she got into five of these fun size candy bars without me knowing.

Diamond Studs & Twins Game

Well, we finally did it. We brought Emmy into Claire's to get her ears pierced. This is something that I've been wanting to do for such a long time. I had my ears pierced at 1 year old...so I figured she must do the same.
I had called Claire's on Friday night to see if there were going to be two girls working so that they could pierce both of Emmy's ears at the same time. I couldn't imagine trying to pierce one ear at a time on a baby even though they had just done so on a two month old baby girl a week before we came in to the store.
The woman that I talked to on the phone from Claire's said that we could come in at any time that night and they would both be able to do piercings. Well, when we got there, the manager told us that the only other girl working that night was a trainee and she had never done real ears before. She had completed all of her training, however she had only pierced foam ears on a mannequin. We weren't comfortable with that so we just said that we would come back the next day when the two managers could do it. We went back on Saturday and picked out diamond earrings for Emmy. The gal marked where she wanted to pierce Emmy's ears and asked us for approval. We both said that it looked good and then the two girls got prepped for the piercing. Emmy had no clue what was about to begin. The two girls got right in there and said 1...2...3...and click went the guns...and then Emmy screamed only for about 15 seconds. She did so well and hasn't even touched her ears yet. It's been a little over a week and they look so adorable on her!!

After the ear piercing, we went to the Twins game with a bunch of Brad's family members and some of our friends! We had a great time and it was one of the best baseball games I have ever been to. It was almost as loud as a Viking's Game inside the Dome.

All of the kids that were in our group did so amazing. I was really surprised at how well Emmy behaved. I kept Emmy & Marilynn busy with a bunch of toys that Dar gave us from Day Care and also fed them a whole bunch of snacks.
I couldn't resist getting the video of Emmy being blown out of the Dome by the huge gust of wind!! Check it out at the bottom...

She's a trooper!! That wasn't so bad.
Go Twins!!
