Good Mouser

We have mice in our basement and our cat keeps bringing them to us. So far he has brought us two. Thank God my mom was at our house last weekend when it happened. She was the brave one that got up to get rid of it as I sat on the couch screaming. I scared poor Tyler when I screamed because he thought it was a cat toy at first. He knew by my scream that it obviously wasn't.
The next day when Max brought us the second mouse, we weren't lucky enough to have anyone at our house to help us. It was 11:00 at night and we were just talking about how nice it was to have our family up for the weekend and thank God for my mom being there to get rid of the mouse. We looked at each other and said what would we have done if we were alone?...just then, Max brought us the second mouse. It took us two hours to get rid of the second one.
Max dropped it out of his mouth on the main level of the house. Brad got up and looked at it from far away and noticed that it was about to get up and scurry away. We both started screaming and I told him to get something to put over it so that it wouldn't get away. He grabbed a small waste basket and placed it over the mouse. We then tried to figure out a way to get it out of the house. I grabbed the video camera after I scared Brad by pointing and screaming...my fake reaction caused him to scream and jump on top of the coffee table. I didn't want to miss any more great moments. I'll have to see if we can post one of the videos...they are kind of long though.
We finally placed a piece of cardboard under the waste basket and carefully slid the basket & mouse towards the front door. Brad picked up the basket and flung it out the door hitting the hanging chimes on its way to freedom.
The next day I picked up a bunch of mouse traps. We have our neighbor, Noel, coming over every day to check on the traps to see if we caught anything. Both Brad and I are too scared to check them...if there is something in it...we will both be far away from the house when Noel gets rid of them.
