Day 2 - We just got back from HCMC Burn Unit. The nurse took Emmy's dressing off of her arm, cut some dead skin off of her palm, and cleaned her wounds. She has a little bit of drainage and is experiencing some pain - it's hard to watch her in pain, but it's a good sign that she feels pain. If she didn't feel pain, the burn would be much deeper and a lot worse.
They are still very concerned with her underarm. They politely said that it didn't look good. She has some redness around the burn and they also told us to watch out for a fever.
We'll know more tomorrow or Monday. We will keep you posted.
