First 4th of July

We made a trip to Monte on Saturday afternoon and spent some time with my mom, Scott & his family. Scott said that the lake was going to be too busy and recommended that we wait until later to get on the lake.
We hung around the house and took pictures of Emmy outside grandma Linda's place.
We drove to Spicer at 8:30 to watch the fireworks. I couldn't believe how many people were there for the show. There must have been over 5,000 people just on the shore near the landing. We got the boat in the water right away and then Brad drove the boat trailer over to Sam's house and then we picked him up and drove back to the boat. We didn't think we were going to find any parking for my truck, but we ended up finding rock star parking right by the landing.
We got Emmy's life jacket on right away and got in the boat. She didn't mind her life jacket this time even though it looks like it squishes her.
The fireworks ended up going off right above our heads. It was really neat and Emmy was really intrigued. She didn't cry or fuss one bit.
